    Alanna Irving

    Foundations

    Alanna Irving (she/her) has previously founded and led multiple social enterprise tech startups and foundations, with a specific focus on innovation in funding and granting, and currently helps lead strategic change for Aotearoa’s largest grant funder. She is very excited about the potential of AI to enhance equity in society, and enjoys helping her 4 and 6 year old children co-create bedtime stories with ChatGPT.

  • Joshua Vial

    Joshua Vial

    CTO

    Joshua Vial is a programmer, entrepreneur, and educator with a passion for business, technology, and social change. He has been running technology businesses since 2004, launched Enspiral in 2010 exploring decentralised leadership and professional service co-operatives. In 2013 he co-founded Dev Academy Aotearoa and went on a ten year deep dive into tertiary technical education. Joshua currently leads a small team of AI consultants and developers building software for social impact and running education programmes.

    Database Manager

    Julia Tsang is a User Experience Researcher and technologist. She runs a small UX consultancy from her home in Island Bay. She moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2024, after a long corporate career as a NOC (Networking Operations Center) maintenance manager in New York City. She has a BA in Computer Science from Vassar. She likes dogs.

    Lani Evans (she/her/ia) has spent the last ten years leading philanthropic foundations. She is co-founder of Share Collective and Generous Ventures, and was the founding CEO of Thankyou Payroll. Lani is a 2024 Equitable Futures Fellow at the East-West Centre, a past recipient of the Winston Churchill Fellowship, an honorary member of Philanthropy New Zealand and was awarded a New Year’s Honour for services to social enterprise.

    Rod brings over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, with expertise in digital strategy, data analytics, and business development. He is the founder and managing director of Fundamentally, a digital transformation agency for New Zealand’s health and social sectors. Rod’s interest lies in how technology can be used as a lever for generating social impact.

    Sinead Kirwan (she/her/ia) has spent the last five years supporting charitable organisations and communities through philanthropy and the delivery of social impact focused programmes in partnership with community and iwi. Prior to this Sinead has 20 years experience working in the tech sector focused in Service Design and Product Management leading to a strong belief in the power of business and technology to support positive impact and change. Sinead is excited to be able to support Fundsorter while she looks for her next big adventure.
